The Sydney Cherry Blossom Festival returns to Auburn Botanic Gardens

One of Western Sydney’s most photogenic events is back. The Sydney Cherry Blossom Festival returns to Auburn Botanic Gardens, transforming the grounds into a sea of pink and white blossoms for just over a week each spring.

Expect wide lawns framed by blossom trees in full bloom, food stalls, entertainment, workshops and one of the best backyard settings in Sydney for a slow wander, a picnic, or an afternoon with a camera in hand.

When and where

The festival runs from Saturday 22 August to Sunday 30 August 2026, with sessions from 9am to 4:30pm daily at Auburn Botanic Gardens, on Chisholm Road and Chiswick Road, Auburn.

  • Arrive early for the best light for photos and to beat weekend crowds
