Visit Western Sydney: The Leading Guide to Everything Happening in Western Sydney

Visit Western Sydney: The Leading Guide to Everything Happening in Western Sydney

Western Sydney, told by the people who live here

Visit Western Sydney is the local media platform showing the world what Western Sydney brings to the table. We reach more than 3 million people every month with content made right here, by locals who know every suburb, every hidden gem and every new opening.

From the best eats in Parramatta to walking tracks in the Blue Mountains, festivals in Liverpool and the opening of Western Sydney International Airport, we’re on the ground telling the stories that matter to our region.

Our story

Visit Western Sydney has been five years in the making. It grew out of our sister platform, Western Sydney Mums, which launched seven years ago and is now the largest family-focused media platform in Greater Western Sydney.

Western Sydney Mums proved something we always knew: people want to explore their own backyard, and local businesses want to reach them. Visit Western Sydney takes that same local knowledge to a wider audience of young adults, couples, visitors and anyone discovering the region for the first time.

We’re based in Erskine Park, and our team lives, eats, shops and plays across the West. That’s the difference you see in our content.

What we do

Everything we publish is created in-house by our own team of content creators and photographers. No outsourcing, no stock images, no generic copy.

  • Content creation: Reels, TikToks, carousels, stories and voiceover videos built to stop the scroll and drive action.
  • Photography: Professional photography of venues, food, events and experiences, shot by our founder and team.
  • SEO articles and guides: Search-optimised guides on our website, from the best brunch and bakeries to hotels, walking tracks, art centres and markets.
  • Event coverage: On the ground at festivals, launches and cultural events, from West HQ’s Filipino Festival to Burramatta NAIDOC Day, Midwinter Festival Parramatta and EuroFest Liverpool.
  • Community engagement: We talk with our audience every day through comments, messages, giveaways and newsletters, so we know what they want to see next.
  • Campaigns and partnerships: Multi-channel campaigns for brands, venues, councils and government, with clear reporting on every result.
Built by locals, for the community

We’re not a big-city agency looking in from the outside. We’re Western Sydney locals who know the difference between Werrington and Wakeley, Yennora and Oran Park, and we know where to find the best coffee in each of them.

That local knowledge means our recommendations are trusted. When we share a new cafe, playground or festival, our audience turns up. It also means we champion the independent businesses, family-run restaurants and community events that make the West what it is.

Our focus is the community, not corporate box-ticking. Every partnership we take on has to be something we’d happily recommend to our own friends and family.

Western Sydney International Airport: the West’s gateway to the world

Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport welcomed its first passengers on 25 October 2026, with Jetstar operating the first commercial flight to the Gold Coast. It’s Sydney’s only curfew-free airport and the centrepiece of an almost $18 billion investment in Western Sydney (Prime Minister’s media release; City Hub).

For the first time, millions of visitors will land directly in Western Sydney. Visit Western Sydney was built for this moment. We’re the platform showing travellers where to eat, stay and explore the minute they touch down, and showing locals everything their new gateway opens up.

Through Visit Western Sydney alone we’ve attributed 3.63 Million total reach to the new airport.
